Presentato alla Fiera di Basilea nel 1950 e prodotto fino al 1953, il Rolex 6062 è un triplo calendario con fasi lunari in una cassa Oyster da 36 mm. È una strana, bellissima combinazione di robusta eleganza, nata nei primi anni ’50 poco dopo che Rolex aveva introdotto il Datejust e stava sperimentando le complicazioni. Non abbiamo più visto una fase lunare Rolex fino all’introduzione del Cellini Moonphase nel 2017.
Anche con la stima più alta, la produzione totale della ref. 6062 in tutti i metalli, oro giallo, oro rosa e acciaio, è inferiore a 1.000 esemplari.
La ref. 6062 è mossa dal calibro automatico Rolex 655 sviluppato appositamente per questo orologio, chiamato anche Super Balance 9.75.
Questo esemplare presenta un bellissimo quadrante silver professionalmente restaurato più di 30 anni fa! Aperture per l’indicazione del giorno, del mese e delle fasi lunari, lancette luminose dauphine in oro.
La cassa in oro giallo è in ottime condizioni.
Cinturino in alligatore nero con chiusura ardiglione Rolex.

It’s an odd, beautiful combination of robust elegance, born in the early ’50s shortly after Rolex introduced the Datejust and was experimenting with complications. We didn’t see a Rolex moonphase again until the introduction of the Cellini Moonphase in 2017.
Even at the higher estimate, this would put total production of the ref. 6062 across all metals, yellow gold, pink gold and steel, below 1,000.
Inside the ref. 6062 is the Rolex automatic caliber 655 developed for the model, also called the Super Balance 9.75.
This piece features a beautiful silver dial professionally restored over 30 years ago! Openings for day, month and moon phase display, luminous dauphine hands in gold.
Yellow gold case is in excellent condition.
