Rarissimo Patek Philippe Calatrava in oro giallo 18kt, referenza 2526, del 1955. Introdotta nel 1952, l’iconica referenza 2526 rappresenta la prima grande innovazione in casa Patek Philippe, viene infatti equipaggiata dal primo movimento automatico, il famosissimo calibro 12-600. Per coronare il lancio del suo primo orologio automatico, la Patek optò per la realizzazione su una base d’argento di un quadrante in smalto di un inimitabile bianco crema. All’epoca la realizzazione di questi quadranti in smalto (unito alla necessità di forarne la delicata superficie, così da applicarvi gli indici) portò a una proporzione di circa 9 pezzi su 10 da scartare. Per ovviare alla difficoltà nella realizzazione, in seguito la Patek decise che gli indici sarebbero stati semplicemente incollati. Ciò ha comportato la classificazione di questi quadranti in Prima serie o Mark I (ovvero con indici applicati) e Seconda serie o Mark II(indici incollati), con i collezionisti che bramano in particolar modo la prima tipologia di quadranti di cui questo bellissimo esemplare è fornito! L’orologio è in ottime condizioni ed è corredato da Estratto degli Archivi Patek Philippe e da un anno di garanzia di negozio sul funzionamento. Very rare Patek Philippe Calatrava in 18kt yellow gold, reference 2526, from 1955. Introduced in 1952, the iconic reference 2526 represents the first major innovation at Patek Philippe, it is in fact equipped with the first automatic movement, the very famous 12-600 caliber. To crown the launch of its first automatic watch, Patek opted for the creation of an enamel dial of an inimitable creamy white on a silver base. At the time, the creation of these enamel dials (combined with the need to pierce the delicate surface, so as to apply the indexes) led to a proportion of about 9 pieces out of 10 to be discarded. To overcome the difficulty in making it, Patek later decided that the indices would simply be glued. This has resulted in the classification of these dials in First series or Mark I (i.e. with applied indexes) and Second series or Mark II (glued indexes), with collectors particularly craving the first type of dials of which this beautiful specimen is provided! The watch is in excellent condition and comes with an Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives and one year our warranty on the mechanism. We accept all types of credit card or bank transfer.
