Bellissimo Rolex Ref. 6062 con l’iconico quadrante con indici a stella, dal quale prende il soprannome di “Stelline”.
Questo è probabilmente il Rolex più iconico mai prodotto e, dato il suo breve periodo di produzione (1950 – 1953 circa), è oggi un modello estremamente raro e ricercato.
Nel secondo dopo-guerra, verso la fine degli anni 40, l’industria orologera attraversò un periodo di forte crisi dettata soprattutto dalla difficoltà nell’esportare le merci a cui conseguì una forta diminuzione del fatturato. Rolex decise di impiegare i migliori mastri orologiai nello sviluppo di nuove meccaniche sofisticate. Il design conosciuto dei vecchi Datejust e Bubbleback, forte della ormai collaudata cassa Oyster, abbracciò le nuove meccaniche su base cal. 655, per dare vita a un nuovo modello decisamente più sofisticato, con indicazione di un triplo calendario con fasi lunari, una novità assoluta per Rolex!
Tuttavia, Rolex cessò presto la produzione di questa referenza, concentrandosi piuttosto sugli orologi-strumento (per lo più in acciaio) come l’Explorer (1953), il Submariner (1953), il GMT (1955), ecc.
Ci sono voluti più di 70 anni per rivedere un calendario con fasi lunari nella collezione Cellini contemporanea.
Malgrado il fondello avvitato, l’impermeabilità di questo modello era precaria ed è il motivo per cui molti quadranti si rovinarono con il passare degli anni.
Ingenuamente molti di essi furono restaurati in tempi più moderni, impattando negativamente sull’originalità e il valore collezionistico.
Fortunatamente, l’esemplare che proponiamo conserva una bellissima patina di invecchiamento non restaurata, molto omogenea e piacevole, che conferisce un vero “vintage look”.
Anche la cassa, in oro giallo 18ct, è conservata in ottime condizioni considerata l’età. Inoltre troviamo montato anche un bellissimo bracciale Rolex a maglia Jubilée originale dell’epoca, che può eventualmente essere sostituito da un cinturino in pelle a piacimento.

Rolex decided to employ the best master watchmakers in the development of sophisticated new mechanics. The familiar design of the old Datejust and Bubbleback, strengthened by the tried-and-true Oyster case, embraced the new cal. 655-based mechanic to give rise to a new model that was decidedly more sophisticated, featuring a triple calendar with moon phases, a first for Rolex!
However, Rolex soon ceased production of this reference, concentrating rather on the tool-watches (mostly steel) such as the Explorer (1953), the Submariner (1953), the GMT (1955), etc.
It took more than 70 years to see a calendar with moon phases again in the contemporary Cellini collection.
Despite the screw-down case back, the water resistance of this model was precarious, which is why many dials were ruined over the years.
Naively, many of them were restored in more modern times, negatively impacting originality and collector value.
Fortunately, the specimen we offer retains a beautiful unrestored aging patina, very homogeneous and pleasing, giving it a true “vintage look.”
The case, in 18ct yellow gold, is also preserved in excellent condition considering its age. We also find fitted a beautiful original Rolex Jubilée bracelet of the period, which can eventually be replaced by a leather strap of your choice.
