Rolex Daytona Ref. 6240 in near to mint conditions.
This reference was a prototype watch produced in a limited amount from 1965 to 1969 (it is estimated that only about 1'700 examples were produced), besides the most popular reference 6239 and 6241 fitted with push buttons, ref. 6240 was fitted with prototype screw down pushers, so it's considered the predecessor of the consequent well known references 6263 and 6265, true Oyster Daytona.
This beautiful example has a stainless steel case with 1.4M serial (produced in 1966).
The watch was fully serviced by Bucherer in 2019 (invoice CHF 4'000.-).
It also comes with a beautiful finely manufactured racing black perforated leather strap!
The watch features a beautifully preserved silver dial with floating "Daytona", original MK0 "Millerighe" prototype screw down pushers, original MK1 acrylic bezel and 6240 engraved back case.
It is fitted with Valjoux 722 manual winding movement.
