Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 3970E, 2nd Series, with Extract PP, from 1990

Price on request

The legendary Patek Philippe 3970 perpetual calendar chronograph entered production in 1986 as the successor to the iconic 2499, which remained in production from 1951 to 1986.
It was produced in white, yellow, pink and platinum gold.
The case measures 36 mm, or 1.5 mm less than that of the 2499. The reduction in size was an interesting move on Patek's part.
Overall, this watch represents a transitional moment for the brand, as it is a modern piece released after the great models of the post-vintage era such as the 1518 and 2499, both of which achieved grail status.
This yellow gold example is a second series (1987-1990), and the vintage look is the same as the first series (leaf hands, rectangular hour markers, and a finer, more graceful font than the later series) but, for the first time, it features a waterproof screw-down case back.
Estimated production total of 450 pieces for all metals!
Complete with original yellow gold buckle, excerpt from the Patek Philippe archives and our one-year working warranty.
Worldwide shipping by Fedex insured courier in 24/48 hours.
